About Solar

How does solar power work in real life?

Solar panels are a resource which produces renewable energy that uses photovoltaic (PV) systems to create electricity. A solar PV system uses sunlight to generate electricity, which you can then use to power up the electric devices in your home or office. Employing this renewable energy system at your location will drastically reduce your power consumption bills and will make only a good impact on the environment.

  • The sun’s light (photons) gets absorbed by the solar panel’s surface…
  • The silicon parts and conductors in the panel convert the light into Direct Current (DC) electricity, which then goes into the inverter
  • The inverter converts the DC into Alternative Current (AC) electricity, which you can use to power your home appliances or office computers
  • Any additional electricity that’s not used by your home is then transferred back into the power grid…
  • The most beautiful thing is that when you need more power than your solar energy system can produce, all the deficient electricity is then being automatically taken out from the grid!

Energy from the sun

The sun always produces energy, counting back billions of years. The sunlight, that reaches the earth (solar radiation rays) can be easily converted into electricity. That’s what basically got the solar energy industry going…

But the idea of using this heat and converting it to usable electricity was hanging in the air for a long time already… Back In the 1830s, the British astronomer John Herschel used a solar thermal collector box (a device that absorbs sunlight to collect heat) to cook food when he was on an expedition in Africa. Today, people use the sun’s energy for a variety of purposes.

Managing your LPG account online is as easy as it gets, especially ordering an LPG or paying a bill.
As converted to thermal energy, solar energy can be used to get the hot water for use in homes, buildings, or swimming pools; to heat spaces inside homes, and other buildings; and to heat fluids to high temperatures to operate turbines that generate electricity.

Solar energy can be used for heat and electricity

Basically, solar energy can be converted into electricity by two different means:.

Photovoltaic (PV devices) or solar cells change sunlight directly into electricity. On a solar panel, single PV cells are usually clustered into groups and arrays that can be used in a variety of applications. They range from single small cells that charge calculators and watch batteries, to systems that power single homes, to large power plants covering many acres or high-rises.

The biggest advantages of the solar energy are these 2:

  • The energy produced by using solar heating systems is pollution free and reduces carbon emissions produced by the property.
  • Choosing to install and use clean energy at your home or business shows that you are aware of our impact on the planet and are doing your part to help.
